You may need to adjust the eyeball fitting several times before finding a location that will not intefere with the cleaner's operation. If you have it pointed up toward the surface of the water, then it will cause to interfere with the hose on the water's surface and cause problems. If you have it pointed to the floor is going to interfere with the cleaners operation on the floor. We recomend having it pointed away from the skimmer about half way between the top and bottom of the pool. Take a look at step 9 on your intallation instructions, it will provide you with addtional details.
